According to the plan, from 2028, hundreds of megawatts of power will first be put into use, and the remaining parts will not be completed until 2032. In order to qualify for a local incentive policy, OpenAI gave an investment commitment of US$20 billion (approximately 135.534 billion yuan at the current exchange rate), and this policy will be put to a vote this week. OpenAI Sachin Karti, vice president of computing strategy, made a bigger calculation: If this data center really reaches full capacity of 3.2 gigawatts, the total cost may exceed US$30 billion.
