OpenAI is approaching the completion of a financing round of up to US$30 billion, with a pre-financing valuation of US$1.25 trillion. People familiar with the matter said this round of financing was led by investors from the United Arab Emirates and Coatue. The valuation does not include new funds raised. The round is being positioned as "opportunistic" bridge financing before a potential initial public offering (IPO), people familiar with the matter said.
