“The first eVTOL stock” EHang responds to rumors of layoffs: low-performing positions are optimized based on the background of AI efficiency improvement, and the core backbone team remains stable

According to the "Daily Economic News" report, EHang Intelligent responded that the company's recent organizational performance optimization and talent structure renewal are normal management actions. This optimization is based on the background of AI (artificial intelligence) efficiency improvement, focusing on low-performance positions. While optimizing some positions, the company also actively introduces talents in professional fields, and the core backbone team remains stable. EHang Intelligent also stated that this personnel adjustment will help improve human efficiency, optimize the cost structure, and lay the foundation for medium and long-term development. IT House noted that in the first quarter of this year, EHang Intelligent achieved a total revenue of 25.7 million yuan, compared with a total revenue of 26.1 million yuan in the same period in 2025; a net loss reached 126.4 million yuan, compared with a net loss of 78.4 million yuan in the same period in 2025. Its total revenue in the fourth quarter of 2024 was 164 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 190.2%, and it delivered 78 EH216 series eVTOL aircraft. EHang’s product lines include the EH216 series, which focuses on intra-city transportation, and long-range models for inter-city transportation. Its early product, VT-30, has a design range of 300 kilometers and a battery life of 100 minutes; the subsequently launched upgraded model VT35 has a fully loaded design range of about 200 kilometers, an official guide price of 6.5 million yuan, and has entered the airworthiness certification stage. In terms of business cooperation, EHang Intelligent has recently reached a strategic cooperation with Reignwood Aviation Group, planning to develop in low-altitude cultural tourism, urban air transportation, logistics, rescue and other fields, and explore promoting airworthiness certification and application in overseas markets such as Thailand. In addition, EHang Intelligent and Tsinghua University jointly established the "Tsinghua EHang Low Altitude Aviation Technology Joint Research Institute" in July 2025, aiming to cooperate on key core technologies such as low-altitude aircraft design, new power systems, and intelligent flight driving.
