PANews reported on October 13 that according to Bloomberg, Epic Games has postponed its shooting game developed in cooperation with Disney and containing Marvel and Star Wars characters. The game was originally scheduled to be launched in March 2027. Epic also requires the project team to adopt an "AI-first" production model, use tools such as Anthropic's Claude, and retain manual supervision throughout the process. According to reports, the game director asked the team to stop handwriting code in an internal message, and all art content for the game will be generated through a full AI workflow. Some employees were shocked by this. Epic communications director Jake Jones said the company is embracing "AI accelerated development" led by Epic developers.
