CleanYourTV is an open source project for Android TV that disables advertisements, telemetry and unnecessary preload services through Wi-Fi, and then replaces it with a simple home screen. The entire process does not require root or connection cables, and the app will not be deleted, but you must still understand the device limitations and modification risks before use. What is it CleanYourTV was developed by Gathin23 and the source code is open under the MIT license at GitHub. The project was named tv-vibehack until October 19, 2026. Its purpose is to organize the TV software and home screen, allowing you to reduce recommended content and preloaded items on the interface. How it works CleanYourTV uses ADB over Wi-Fi to disable manufacturer telemetry, ad serving, content recommendations, and preloaded apps with the pm disable-user command. Due to the deactivation method, the App remains on the device; when you need to restore it, you can execute tools/restore.sh, and Windows users can use restore.ps1 to restore it with one click. After cleaning, the project will be replaced with a simple home screen launcher that looks similar to Apple TV. This launcher is approximately 477 KB in size and has no network permissions. The main usage is to enable USB debugging, network or ADB debugging in the TV’s developer options, and then add the project’s PROMPT.md
