Anthropic announced today that the desktop version of Claude Code has been updated to include iOS simulator support, and this integration is now open for public testing. Developers can use Claude Code to execute, build and test applications directly in the iOS simulator without manual operations. Real-time interaction and iteration When Claude Code receives instructions to build, execute, or check an application, it opens the application under development in an iOS simulator window. Claude can watch the simulator screen in real time, interact with it, and adjust it repeatedly until the project is completed. Developers can continue to use the iOS Simulator while working on Claude. Unlike computer operation methods that require macOS accessibility and screen recording permissions, Claude Code directly drives the emulator without these permissions. Privacy & System Requirements Screenshots taken by Claude in the iOS simulator are sent to Anthropic and processed according to the standard conversation retention policy. Anthropic recommends that users do not log into real accounts on the device used by Claude. The iOS simulator integration feature is only available in Claude Code Desktop on macOS and requires Xcode and iOS platform to be installed. This simulator panel only supports local sessions. Detailed instructions for use can be found on the Anthropic website.
