Apple develops Reference Image authentication function to verify the source of iPhone photos

Apple is developing new features to verify whether a photo is actually from an iPhone camera. Code for iOS 27 beta 5 shows that this feature, called Apple Reference Image, will use unique data related to the shooting camera hardware to verify the source of the photo.
