Apple releases macOS Golden Gate Beta 6 Siri upgraded to AI assistant

Apple today released the sixth beta of macOS Golden Gate to developers, an update that comes a week after Apple released the fifth beta. Highlights of this release include design improvements, the transformation of Siri into Siri AI, and several AI tools. Download method Developers can go to "System Settings" > "General" > "Software Update" to download macOS Golden Gate. Requires beta updates enabled and a free developer account. Design Improvements Liquid Glass' opacity has been improved to improve readability, a slider has been added to control transparency, and shadow changes make it easier to tell whether a window is active. Apps now feature unified toolbars, sidebars that extend to the edges, fewer rounded corners, and fewer menu bar icons. Artificial intelligence capabilities Siri has transformed into Siri AI, a chat-based assistant that combines general world knowledge, personal data and screen awareness to answer any question and find information on your behalf. Siri is now integrated into Spotlight, allowing users to ask questions using the new Search or Ask interfaces; there is also a Siri app to chat with Siri and view past conversations. On newer Macs, you can set a custom voice, speaking speed, and expression for Siri. Visual Intelligence is also available on Mac, allowing Siri to answer questions about on-screen content; Write with Siri can generate text or provide feedback on writing. In addition, the Photos app adds AI photo editing tools, Safari adds AI paging functionality, the "Password" app can automatically update weak passwords through AI, and the redesigned Image Playground app can generate realistic images.
