IT House reported on July 22 that a special meeting on the application promotion of the "Artificial Intelligence-Agent Interconnection" series of standards was held on July 21 at the Zhongguancun Exhibition Center in Haidian District, Beijing. The meeting was hosted by the Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee. This meeting marked that China’s first interconnection standard system covering the entire life cycle of intelligent agents has officially entered the pilot application stage. IT House has previously reported that this series of standards (GB/Z 185.1—GB/Z 185.7—2026) was officially approved and released by the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration Committee) in June 2026. It is the first national standard system released by my country in the field of artificial intelligence agents. The standard preparation work is jointly guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration for Market Regulation, and jointly researched and formulated by the China Electronics Standardization Institute, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and more than 70 industry, academic, research and application units. The entire set of standards covers core aspects such as overall architecture, identity code, identity management, agent description, agent discovery, agent interaction, and agent tool invocation, and systematically builds a full-coverage, closed-loop standard specification system of "identity identification - capability description - supply and demand discovery - collaborative interaction - tool invocation". This series of standards aims to solve outstanding problems such as inconsistent communication interfaces, lack of identity management, and confusing collaborative interaction rules in the current intelligent agent industry. The introduction of this standard aims to solve the long-term pain points in the industry such as the incompatibility of agents from different manufacturers, the lack of identity trust, and the prominent barriers to cross-domain collaboration. Zhu Meina, deputy director of the Standards and Technology Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, previously pointed out at a press conference that with the large-scale implementation of intelligent agents and the popularization of applications in multiple scenarios, cross-platform, cross-scenario, and cross-domain interconnection and collaboration of massive intelligent agents have become an inevitable trend in industrial development. However, intelligent agent interconnection still faces prominent problems such as inconsistent communication interfaces, difficulty in interconnection, lack of identity management systems, and irregular collaborative interaction rules, and the phenomenon of "information islands" of intelligent agents has become prominent.
