Text | Wang Yuchan Lan Jie Editor | Qiao Qian 36Kr exclusively learned that Zeng Ailing has joined Bilibili (hereinafter referred to as "Bilibili") as the person in charge of the AI video generation business, reporting to CEO Chen Rui. 36Kr asked Station B for confirmation on this matter, but the other party has not responded yet. Zeng Ailing’s Bilibili has previously stated publicly that its AI investment mainly focuses on video understanding, video recommendation and auxiliary video creation. After Zeng Ailing joins the company, she may be involved in related businesses. Zeng Ailing’s personal homepage shows that she has worked in Tencent Hunyuan & AI Lab team and International Digital Economy Institute (IDEA) for three years, leading the human-centered perception and generation research team. Later, she joined Anuttacon, an AI company owned by miHoYo founder Cai Haoyu, and was responsible for developing a human-centered interactive multi-modal video generation system. These models enable AI agents to perceive, interact with, and generate real-time, long-term videos. Ailing Tsang received her PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and was a visiting scholar at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Station B has been looking for a stable AI business leader. In September last year, Zhang Di, the former vice president of Kuaishou and the former head of the technical department of Keling AI Division, quit Bilibili and became the head of the technical line. But in just about two months, Zhang Di left again and returned to Alibaba as the head of the Taotian Group's Future Life Laboratory. Five months later, Zhang Di led the team to create HappyHorse-1.0. In 2024, Bilibili launched the basic large model Index. This model capability is mainly used in scenarios such as video content creation, understanding and distribution. Based on Index, Bilibili has built a role-playing model, a speech generation model, an animation video generation model, etc. In addition, in terms of creative tools, in March 2026, Bilibili launched the AI video creation platform updream. This tool has "long-term memory", "personalized skill library" and free canvas functions, and focuses on professional-level AI content pipelines. Screenshot of the updream interface.
