Kuai Technology News on October 29, according to media reports, recently, Nvidia’s 2026 GTC conference was held in Berlin. Huang Renxun demonstrated the open source duck robot Microduck during the on-site speech and conducted an interactive demonstration with it. According to live demonstrations, this swaying robot that makes duck noises can stand up independently after falling. It replicates the shape and gait of a duck. It was developed by the French company Pollen Robotics. After Huang Renxun personally demonstrated this robot, it attracted global attention, and the market's attention also turned to Robotis, a Korean robot company that provides its core steering gear. Robotis subsequently stated that it had signed a contract to supply approximately 750,000 servos for Pollen Robotics' Microduck, a duck robot. Pollen Robotics' current Microduck order demand is 50,000 units, each robot equipped with 15 Robotis servos. The order size is approximately 3.5 billion won (approximately US$2.4 million). Pollen Robotics is affiliated to the AI platform company Hugging Face. After Huang Renxun demonstrated the Microduck, about 15,000 new orders were added to the product pre-order within three days. It is also expected that the demand for servos will reach at least 1 million next year. Pollen Robotics believes that the popularity of Microduck is due to its design that is close to ordinary consumers and its affordable pricing. According to reports, the robot was originally a development platform for robot reinforcement learning, and has recently emerged as a consumer companion robot. The company's CEO hopes that Microduck will become a robot that can be integrated into people's daily lives like a pet. Pollen Robotics has been using Robotis' Dynamixel series servos when developing other robots. The brand's servos were also used in its earlier product, the Reachy Mini small robot. The CEO said that the team has been using Dynamixel for a long time and chose Robotis because they trusted its ability to achieve high performance in a compact size.
