Now, this shortcoming has been filled in an unexpected way - Nvidia's RTX Spark developer driver has been used by netizens to unlock the external graphics card (eGPU) function for the Snapdragon X2 Elite notebook. A Reddit user shared another netizen's experience of successfully connecting an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card through the USB4 interface on a machine equipped with Snapdragon X2 Elite, and provided an installation tutorial. This configuration performed amazingly in Overwatch, reaching 300 FPS in the training ground, and stable at 180 to 220 FPS in actual combat. "Persona 3 Reload" ran 60 to 100 FPS at 4K resolution, and "The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky" also reached 4K 100 FPS in DLSS performance mode. However, there are some weird phenomena in this solution, and there is still room for improvement in drive stability. The GPU utilization in Persona 3 Reload is only 20%. The main frequency of the Snapdragon X2 Elite does not exceed 4.30GHz. I am not sure whether it is a software limitation or a temperature wall. In addition, the installation process is not friendly to ordinary users. There is currently no official support, and Nvidia may block this road in subsequent drivers at any time.
