Musk xAI is once again caught in the whirlpool of public opinion: A woman accused her stepfather of using Grok to tamper with childhood photos to generate thousands of explicit images. Recently, xAI, an artificial intelligence company owned by Musk, faced a new legal charge. A woman who goes by the pseudonym "Jane Doe 4" has officially joined a lawsuit filed by a Tennessee teenager accusing the company's AI chatbot Grok of contributing to the generation of child sexual abuse material. According to the Washington Post, the woman revealed that her stepfather used Grok to maliciously tamper with childhood photos of her when she was 11 years old, creating more than 7,000 explicit images of her. Two days after law enforcement conducted a raid and discovered the offending images, his stepfather was found dead by suicide. The woman lamented the disease control. She pointed out that the current unrestricted public access to AI tools is spreading rapidly, pushing people's daily lives step by step into a hotbed of child sexual abuse. Previously, several teenagers who initiated the lawsuit alleged that xAI failed to take basic safety precautions, allowing Grok to be easily used to generate explicit images of real people, including minors. Relevant reports show that earlier this year, millions of illegal content generated by the tool emerged on social platform X. Currently, the plaintiff is actively promoting the case to be upgraded to a class action lawsuit. via AI News (author: AI Base)
