Wall-Facing Intelligence releases the end-to-side model MiniCPM5-2B, ranking first in performance below 4B on the AA-Index list

IT House reported on July 19 that Wallface Intelligence and OpenBMB today released the latest device-side model MiniCPM5-2B at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, and completed the adaptation of multiple chips. Officials stated that in the latest Artificial Analysis (AA) list evaluation, MiniCPM5-2B ranked first with a score of 17 points, achieving the highest score among models below 4B in the world. According to reports, the MiniCPM5-2B model natively supports hybrid thinking and can flexibly switch between fast response and deep reasoning. It also provides a 512K ultra-long context window and can process an entire novel or hundreds of thousands of lines of code at a time. The ability dimension covers general knowledge, mathematics and code reasoning, complex instruction following, multi-language understanding and generation, long text processing, tool invocation and in-depth search, forming the most complete coverage of tasks below 4B currently. MiniCPM5-2B has native core capabilities of the agent such as tool calling, in-depth search and code generation. During the training phase, 200B-scale Agent Midtraining, Agent SFT of millions of high-quality trajectories, and scalable Agent RL alignment optimization were performed to ensure stable and reliable agent behavior. This design allows the model to be directly used as a terminal-side intelligent body base, providing support for the construction of localized AI assistants on mobile phones, PCs, smart cockpits and other devices. IT House has learned that Wallface Intelligence has completed device-side model adaptation for global mainstream chip manufacturers such as AMD, Intel, MediaTek, and Qualcomm (in alphabetical order). In addition, MiniCPM5-2B has joined forces with the Zhongzhi FlagOS community to complete Day0 adaptation of 9 chips; covering Huawei Ascend, Haiguang, Kunlun Core, Muxi, Moore Thread, Pingtou Ge, Qingwei Intelligent, Tianshu Intelligent Core, Nvidia, and extended to ARM end-side platform. Officials stated that MiniCPM5-2B will be officially launched in the near future.
