36Kr learned from many industry insiders that XHEART, a physics AI computing power chip company, recently completed a strategic round of financing. This round of financing brought in the first investment from Renault Group, additional investment from Chery Automobile, and Changxin Technology, a leading Chinese storage company, also participated in this round of financing. It is reported that XHEART has received a total historical financing amount of approximately 5 billion yuan. Among the investors in this round of financing, Groupe Renault is a leading European car company, with sales exceeding 2 million vehicles last year. Chery Group is a local state-owned enterprise in Wuhu, and its sales volume has also remained at the level of millions of units all year round. Changxin Technology is a giant in the domestic storage industry. This time Changxin Technology’s move is a rare investment case for a chip company with an automotive background. XHEART's corporate positioning is to design specialized chips for large model needs, thereby providing hardware support for physical AI applications such as autonomous driving and robots. Currently, XHEART's core product is the X7. This chip is anchored in the L2++ urban intelligent assisted driving and L3/L4 autonomous driving markets, and is designed to benchmark mature assisted driving chips in the industry. SAIC Volkswagen ID.ERA 9X is the first model of X7. Since then, X7 has been successively launched on MG and Roewe models of SAIC Motor, Cadillac models of General Motors, and some new energy models and fuel models of Chery. Industry insiders told 36Kr that the characteristic of this chip is that during the planning and design stage, it collaborated deeply with the Momenta team to embed the understanding of the algorithm into the chip architecture. Therefore, the chip resource layout is more targeted, and there is no need to reserve redundant designs for all possible scenarios like other Tier 2 chips. This allows the X7 chip to take into account performance, power consumption, yield and other indicators. Currently, the parameters of both autonomous driving models and embodied robot models are getting larger and larger, and the number of parameters of autonomous driving models is expanding from millions to billions. XHEART is also laying out next-generation products to respond to this trend. Behind XHEART's products is a highly effective team. Many of XHEART’s management members are all members of XHEART
