Tencent founder, chairman and CEO Ma Huateng said in the earnings call that Tencent has significantly increased its computing power purchases this quarter. The financial report shows that Tencent recorded a free cash flow of -13.8 billion yuan in Q2. If prepayments for computing power procurement are excluded, the free cash flow is 37.6 billion yuan. From this, its Q2 computing power prepayment amount is estimated to be 51.4 billion yuan. Regarding computing power, Tencent President Liu Chiping further added that the current demand for computing power rental market is strong, and some cloud service providers can recover depreciation costs in the short term through external leasing. Tencent President Liu Chiping revealed at the financial report that Hy4 is planned to be launched in the near future, and its model scale will be further expanded based on Hy3, while model performance and multi-modal capabilities will also be improved.
