Su Zifeng: In terms of server CPU revenue, AMD’s share has reached 46%

IT House reported on July 24 that today (July 24) at Advancing AI 2026, the annual event held in San Francisco, USA, AMD Chairman and CEO Su Zifeng delivered a keynote speech, revealing that AMD’s share of the data center CPU market revenue reached 46%. Su Zifeng revealed in her speech that as intelligent AI relies more on CPU orchestration and scheduling during the reasoning process, this number will continue to rise in the foreseeable future. IT Home Note: The CPU acts as a system orchestrator in data center servers. The GPU is responsible for doing matrix calculations and processing AI-related requests, but the CPU is responsible for scheduling operations and managing the data flow between the GPU and the HBM. In addition, Su Zifeng also estimates that the computing-related potential market size (TAM) will expand to US$2 trillion by 2030 (IT House Note: The current exchange rate is approximately 13.56 trillion yuan), and believes that as the CPU's scheduling role in AI agent workloads becomes increasingly prominent, AMD's market share will continue to grow.
