IT House reported on November 2 that HUMAIN, an artificial intelligence start-up that was previously fully controlled by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund PIF, announced on the 1st local time of this month that Saudi Aramco (Aramco), the world’s largest petrochemical company, will acquire 49% of the company’s shares, with PIF retaining the remaining 51%. Saudi Aramco plans to make this investment by transferring key artificial intelligence assets and injecting approximately 9.9 billion Saudi riyals (IT Home Note: currently approximately 17.55 billion yuan). The two shareholders will contribute their respective artificial intelligence assets, capabilities, and talents to HUMAIN, and oversee HUMAIN's business expansion plans. Saudi Aramco expects to leverage HUMAIN’s AI infrastructure to translate advanced AI capabilities into industrial applications, further enhancing its global ecosystem and operational capabilities.
