IT House reported on August 20 that Bloomberg reported yesterday, local time, that AI chip start-up Fractile had reached a preliminary agreement with Anthropic on a supply contract worth approximately US$250 million (IT House note: the current exchange rate is approximately 1.687 billion yuan). Fractile plans to begin shipping its AI ASIC inference accelerator in 2027 and expand the deal. Fractile's chip uses an innovative "analog memory computing" architecture that can run head models 25 times faster and at 1/10 the cost. In the capital market, Fractile previously raised $220 million in funding in May 2026, when it was valued at approximately $1 billion. It aims to complete a new round of financing at a valuation of US$6.5 billion (approximately 43.849 billion yuan at the current exchange rate). Some of the new financing is based on a potential valuation of less than $6.5 billion.
