The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) officially opened on July 17. As the world's top event in the field of artificial intelligence, this conference takes "Intelligent Partners to Create the Future" as its theme. Yin Qi, Chairman of Step Star and Chairman of Qianli Technology, attended the opening ceremony of the conference as a special guest and delivered a keynote speech "When Intelligence Enters the Physical World" at the main forum (morning session) of the conference. Looking back on the 15 years of AI entrepreneurship, he said that AI entrepreneurship has grown from a niche track to an important global consensus. Today's AI researchers and entrepreneurs not only stand on the shoulders of generations of scientists who have continued to explore, but also benefit from the accumulation of information technology, mobile Internet, cloud computing, semiconductors, new energy and other industries. They are extremely lucky to be able to participate in this era of change. Yinqi judged that the model capabilities in 2026 are crossing a critical critical point. AI has advanced from being able to continuously perform tasks for a few seconds to being able to work independently for dozens of hours. The industry is standing at the foot of the AGI peak. Following natural language, programming is becoming an important yardstick for measuring the leap in AI capabilities. With the accelerated integration of agent models and next-generation terminal products, intelligence is moving from digital screens to the real physical world, and agents will also evolve from chat tools to the smallest productivity units capable of sensing, decision-making, and executing tasks. In the future, engineers, designers, researchers, etc. will all have exclusive agents, giving one person the capabilities of a team. Yin Qi pointed out that the wave of intelligent agents will promote three major structural changes: new systems, new carriers, and new networks. At the new system level, the capabilities of the agent are determined by the capabilities of the model and the agent operating system. Agentic OS determines "how far" the agent can go by connecting the model with data, tools, interfaces and equipment; at the new carrier level, the terminal design concept will further move from "people-oriented" to "human-machine symbiosis". Computers, mobile phones, cars and robots will become different "bodies" of the same agent in different scenarios, supporting the continuous existence, free migration and collaborative execution of tasks across terminals; at the new network level, A2A The network will connect people and intelligent agents, and intelligent agents will have their own identities and capabilities.
