The domestic mobile phone market report card for the first half of 2026 is freshly released. Huawei Mate 80 won the sales championship of domestic mobile phone single products in one fell swoop, continuing the hot-selling legend of the Mate series. While consumers are still paying for the Mate 80, the next-generation flagship Mate 90 series is ready for launch, with only about a month left to be released. According to information revealed by digital blogger Chao Di Jie, the Mate 90 series will adopt a "grading strategy" in terms of chip configuration: the standard version will be equipped with the Kirin 9030 chip, while the Pro series will debut a new generation of Kirin chips based on Tao's Law. Among them, the Kirin 9030 adopts an 8-core architecture, consisting of one 2.70GHz ultra-large core, three 2.27GHz large cores, and four 1.7GHz small cores; the Kirin 9030 Pro is upgraded to a 9-core design, adding a large core to the standard version, and the ultra-large core frequency is also increased to 2.75GHz, making the performance release more radical. In addition to the chip upgrade, the Mate 90 standard version will also add a 3D face recognition function, which will make up for the shortcomings of the previous generation in biometrics. The Hongmeng 7 operating system pre-installed on the entire series is the soul of this flagship. At the Huawei Developer Conference, Hongmeng 7 has been officially upgraded to Hongmeng Intelligent Framework 2.0, with a success rate of more than 90% for complex tasks. The most anticipated thing is the newly evolved Xiaoyi Assistant. It is no longer a simple voice response tool, but has the ability to understand intentions, plan independently, call the system, and collaborate with multiple agents to complete tasks. For example, you only need to say to Xiaoyi, "I'm going to run the Chuxiong Half Marathon next week, help me make a recovery training plan and add it to my schedule." It will automatically generate a personalized training plan based on the competition schedule, personal health data and historical training records and synchronize it to the calendar, without manual operation. The mobile phone market in September is destined to be very lively. Whether the Mate 90 can continue the popularity of its predecessors, and what surprises Kirin’s new chip will bring, the answer will soon be revealed.
