IT House reported on October 25 that Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (PSMC), a semiconductor company in Taiwan, announced the company’s 2026Q3 financial report data on the 21st of this month: Operating income: NT$21.342 billion (approximately NT$4.375 billion at current exchange rate), +23% month-on-month, +80% year-on-year; Net profit: NT$6.5 billion (approximately NT$1.332 billion at current exchange rate) billion yuan), +98% month-on-month, +338% year-on-year; gross profit margin: 48%, an increase of 20 percentage points quarter-to-quarter; capacity utilization rate: 97%, an increase of 11 percentage points quarter-to-quarter, and an increase of 24 percentage points year-on-year. Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. said that AI inference has become a "bottomless pit" that consumes computing power; niche DRAM wafer foundry prices remain high and are not affected by recent market movements; the DRAM process 1P in cooperation with Micron is expected to be mass-produced in 2027Q2; as MLC NAND supply is reduced, SLC NAND demand will increase, and companies will also get involved in the MLC market. In terms of logic foundry, the demand for AI servers and automotive-grade PMICs continues to be strong, and smartphone companies are still quite active in their demand for PMIC production capacity in 2027. The company has raised its wafer production prices by 8-10% in the third quarter and is expected to increase prices by another 10-20% in 2027, and will keep orders stable through long-term contracts. Looking forward to the future, Power Semiconductor mentioned that there is still a gap of more than 30% between the average memory output price and the average wafer production price; and its new production capacity will focus on the 3D AI Foundry field and will be jointly invested by enterprises and customers.
