Users can log in to up to two accounts at the same time and quickly switch without logging out. However, only one account can be active at the same time. For users who use both personal and company accounts, this update solves a long-standing pain point of switching logins. In the past, if users wanted to switch personal agent and work agent accounts, they often needed to log out and log in again; now they only need to complete the operation in the account menu or "Settings - Switch Account" to switch between the two accounts. OpenAI emphasized that after switching accounts, chat records, memories, files and settings will change with the selected account, and the workspace will only belong to the corresponding account. No conversation history, file uploads, or memories are shared between accounts, and no bills, subscriptions, or workspaces are merged. However, it should be noted that switching accounts will not migrate the chat history from one account to another; if you need to use paid functions in the new account, you still need to subscribe separately. In terms of usage rules, users can have more than two ChatGPT accounts, but the same device can only log in to two at the same time. If you have logged in to two accounts, you need to log out of one of them before you can add a new account; there is no charge for creating a second account, and the new account defaults to the free package. The mobile terminal also supports receiving notifications based on each account settings and device permissions. After the user clicks on the notification of another account, the application will switch to that account and open related content, making it easier to handle messages under different identities in a timely manner.
